Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The ENPS PTA endeavours to support the teachers and school management in developing a strong and positive school community, and also to help raise funds for extras for the school - things that are not covered by school donations or MOE grants.
2011 was another busy year for the PTA.  We raised $26,000 and donated it back to the school.  With this money the school has been able to purchase:

• Ottomans, beanbags and sofas in the newly re-vamped library
• Beanbags in the re-vamped senior sitting area
• Gridclubonline subscription
• A new stove and kitchen implements in the new students’ kitchen
• New senior netball uniforms
• All the new gardens and hanging baskets that have appeared around the school
• A new outdoor PA system
• Bottles of sunscreen for each classroom
• New kapa haka costumes

Last year the PTA raised a total of $26,000 through a number of fundraising activities.  This year our fundraising activities will include our usual annual events such as entertainment books, the athon and the school disco, plus some new events which are still in the planning phase.  There will also be a mufti day and sausage sizzle in the last week of each term.

I would like to acknowledge the assistance of Frucor and Peter Lamb.  For the past three years Frucor has donated all of the Just Juice boxes and fizzy drinks at our various fundraisers much to the enjoyment of the children.  A very big thank you to them for their generosity, it is much appreciated.

The PTA is very proud to have a close association with the teaching staff, management team and support staff of ENPS, and the many cultural groups that have been formed. This enables us to easily co-ordinate our fundraising activities.

If you would like to join us and assist with fundraising events then please email Sue at normanton@xtra.co.nz and I will add you to the distribution list.

Thank you again for your amazing support, which can only benefit our children over the coming years.
