Dear Learning Community Members,
There are so many things to write about!
➢ Eight students achieving High Distinction in the Science ICAS test;
➢ The boys over 40kg rugby team winning their game against Kings for the first time in 6 years;
➢ The new phone system making communication easier;
➢ The videoing of and feedback to teachers as part of the Professional Development and Appraisal Cycle nearing completion;
➢ Five children in our most recent New Entrants class, performing the play of Little Red Riding Hood at their assembly;
➢ The process of appointing a new Principal is underway;
➢ The new website as an information portal;
➢ The new classroom construction (at least the demolition stage) is underway;
➢ Resources are centralised in their new location.
All of the above are examples which reflect the continual growth and development of ENPS across many dimensions.
This week we sadly farewell Yasmin Yapa, our school library assistant, after 10 and a half years’ dedicated service to the school. She is joining her family in Australia. Andrew Finn is also leaving to join his wife and daughter in Singapore. We thank them and wish them well.
The mid-year reports come home this week. Already conversations are beginning around the question “Does the new report draft meet parents’ needs for clarity around their child’s progress and achievement?” Please fill in the survey form that accompanies the report and/or join a focus group.
Finally, we would like to thank the staff for a successful first semester. We have an outstanding staff team who continue to be hard working, dedicated professionals who have good fun together. We particularly appreciate their support for each of us in our extended roles.
Enjoy the holiday break. Watch this space for further adventures in learning next term.
Yours in Education,
Therese Bakker Shelley Quinlivan Kay Wight
