Dear Learning Community Members,
We are thrilled to be launching our second exciting communication link in two weeks! We know that you will all be looking forward to receiving your child’s written report on their learning progress.
In response to your valued feedback during the community consultation process, we have designed a new draft report format. Parents wanted more information on learning, less explanation of the report itself and above all, wanted to know where their child’s learning is, in relation to others of a similar age. We believe this new draft will offer parents a clearer picture of their children’s progress measured against the New Zealand national norms.
Included in the report envelope is a survey form for you to provide the school with feedback on this new reporting format. Please take the time to fill it in and return to the school via your child’s teacher. You are also invited to be part of a working party to help make our reporting to parents the best that we can make it!
Below is the website link that you might find helpful. This is the Ministry of Education sponsored site for Te Kete Ipurangi – The On line Learning Centre.

This site is especially designed to inform parent communities about the types of assessment carried out at ENPS. The site has other links to specific assessment tools, should you want more information.
Our ICT team has set two dates for parents on navigating our school website. This is the time to come along and ask questions, make suggestions or get help to access various sections of the website. The dates are:
—Wednesday 23 July, 5.45 - 6.30 pm in the ICT suite
—Friday 25 July, 11.00 am in the ICT suite.
Yours in Education,
Therese Bakker, Shelley Quinlivan and Kay Wight
