‘Am I making positive connections in the world?’ is the 2010 Learning Theme
Kia Ora Tatou, Greetings to all
Dear Parents
Having fun with Learning
Children are involved in learning about some very exciting Science concepts. Lots of ‘hands on experiences’ are enabling them to understand what being a scientist is all about. DOT Day fever is growing within the school. See more information in this newsletter. Have a look also at our webpage to see all of the trips the children have been participating in so far this year.
School Disco
On behalf of the staff and children, thank you to the PTA and other parent volunteers who gave so generously of their time to make the three discos such a success. The dancing was fabulous and the theme of the ‘Mad Scientist’ was enjoyed by all.
ERO (Education Review Office)
ERO will be visiting us on the week commencing 21 June 2010. We are looking forward to their visit. ERO will provide us with an external view of the school. This helps us, along with our internal view processes, to continually provide quality learning opportunities for all our students.
Take care of your Children and Yourselves
In the afternoons after school, parents are making efforts to abide by the traffic regulations. Would parents please do the same in the morning, making sure that you cross with your children at the crossings and conform to the 2-minute drop off zone regulations. This is for the safety of your children and yourselves. By following the traffic laws, as parents you are modelling safe behaviour for your children.
Warmest regards
Jane Cavanagh-Eyre
