Dear Parents
In 2008 we consulted the community about the vision and values for the school. We now believe that we have a vision statement and a list of values that reflect the beliefs of our community of parents and staff.
If you would like to provide us with any other suggestions or further feedback regarding the vision and values, please email the Chairperson of Board of Trustees, Michael Worth - .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
We are hoping to approve the vision and values at our next Board of Trustees meeting in April.
Regards
Michael Worth Jane Cavanagh-Eyre
Board of Trustees Chairperson Principal
These are the minutes from the last Board of Trustees meeting held on February 18, 2009.
Our new principal Jane Cavanagh-Eyre will take up her new role on 17 December. However both the Senior Management and the BoT are keen to start to involve her in getting to know the school and in significant events such as strategic planning, the New Curriculum implementation, staffing and other key meetings. As she has her current responsibilities at AUT to discharge this will be on a best endeavours basis. The school will continue to be run by our very capable team of Co-Principals for the remainder of the year.
The following PAT results table for Year 4 to 6 students at Epsom Normal Primary School exemplifies our outstanding mathematics achievement against national standards. While we are very pleased with our teaching, learning and assessment systems in numeracy, we are currently investigating ways in which we can analyse our results in relation to schools with similar demographics.
Hi Everyone
We have had an excellent response to our advertised Principal position for our school and we have been very impressed with the calibre of all of the candidates.
We are now going to be interviewing a large number of candidates over the next 2 weeks. Then we will be having a second interview round with the short listed candidates by the end of the first week of September. We are fortunate to have the support of the Dean of the Faculty of Education from the Auckland University supporting us with our shortlist interviews. Thereafter as a full Board of Trustees we will be able to make the very important decision of who is our Principal moving forward.
If you have any questions please give me a ring on 021 227 8777. Thanks
Vanessa Lorford-Brown
Member of the ENPS Board
Dear Parents,
As a Board we are underway in recruiting a new principal. The appointment of our new principal is one of the most important decisions that we as a Board can make. We therefore have a thorough process and timeline in place. This ensures that we employ the best possible principal for our dynamic school. Advertising the role will commence at the end of this week and the BOT plan to be in the position of agreeing on the successful candidate by mid September.
It is great to be able to showcase our school on the new website! We
are all very proud of our students’ successes and the quality of our teaching
and support staff. We are very committed to continuing to build on the
success of the school.
