Planning is well underway for this significant celebration. The format will be similar to previous years with the Graduation Assembly scheduled for 5.00pm. Following the assembly, the students will share a meal before the disco begins at 6.30pm. The disco will finish at 7.30pm.
Students will receive a notice with general guidelines for the evening and the supper arrangements in early December.
The parents are warmly invited to a light supper in the staffroom following the assembly.
Last Tuesday the whole Senior School participated in a whole day of athletics. The children marched around eight stations of events, such as high jump, long jump, sprints, and ball throw. The weather was beautiful and it was an fun filled day, with many outstanding results.

Dear Parents,
As part of our Year 6 Education Outside the Classroom programme, we currently visit The Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre (MERC) for a three day/two night Camp. As part of our forward planning, we are consulting the community in regards to this.
At ENPS, we have selected this facility due to the highly trained and specialised staff and excellent facilities. Dietary and medical concerns are managed through our excellent caterers and qualified staff.

I am happy to publish this writing by one of our remarkable Year 5 students. Michelle has just joined the school this year and did not speak or write English when she arrived from China. I am privileged to have Michelle share her work with me and with her permission, I have posted her writing to the website to celebrate her learning so far.
Well done Michelle, keep up the great work in Room 6!

Yesterday is Sunday and I went to play flippa ball.
I started training in EGGS pool on Friday and this is my first time to play flippa ball. I enjoy to play this game with my team, they all very good at flippa ball and everybody in my team they played last year, just me is a new player.
At three o’clock the game started, I was the goalie, but I don’t even know how I could be a good goalie. Kelland’s Dad is the coach of our team so he taught me how to play in a few minutes before the real game started.
At the beginning of the game everybody in the pool were swimming to the ball as fast as they could and throw to the person that is in their team. But I just can stay in the goal and try to stop the ball getting into the goal. It was really hard!

On 15 September, Green Kiwis, Jayna, Anjali and Shanelle, planted Avocado trees! These were the last two trees to plant for our school’s fruit orchard. We dug two deep holes in the ground with Mr Jacka. We first cut off the plastic wrapping around the plant and then dropped a bit of recycled dried sheep poo into the hole in the ground! Next we put the Avocado plant inside the hole and we put the dirt back in it’s orginal place! As we were putting the dirt back in we noticed a couple of fat, juicy worms! That scared Jayna off. After we planted the trees we took the camera out and took some photos! Then we went back to Room 6 and Mrs Adlam gave us a bucket or two and put in some vitamin rich liquid called Thrive. It was a yellow sunshine colour! Then we took it to the avocado plants to water them! Anjali found a black baby spider and when I came up, she said “There’s a spider on my shoe!” That scared Jayna to death.

On Monday, 13 September, the Green Kiwis went on a short walk around local streets to form a timezone map. Two ladies from TravelWise came to help us. We separated into five groups and each group walked from the school in different directions. First, we walked for five minutes ; we stopped, took a photo, read our pedometers to see how many steps we had taken, then walked for another five minutes (which was now ten minutes from school). We stopped again, read our pedometers, took a photo, noted any landmarks then walked another five minutes. All in all, we walked for fifteen minutes. Finally we returned to school. It was fun!
This information will be compiled by the TravelWise staff to produce a map. This timezone map will be on display outside our new library.
